Bangkok

Bangkok… Heard so much good about this city from other people and it also became a fashion to visit for everybody who was in Asia. I hate fashion things so I had not much desire in visiting it. But some friends came to visit me, so I have let myself convinced to visit it (the other option was diving, hehe :) ).

The
Temple of Dawn by night:

Bangkok is a mix of everything. You can find there everything one can imagine; some very extreme and some very random, but still everything feels just right as it is there. It is a city of contrasts. But in this place everything feels just one, not contradicting but completing each other. And as you discover the city you have so many different experiences and so many feelings and thoughts go through your mind.

This Democracy Monument on the picture below was built in 1932 to commemorate Thailand's first constitution. The heavy traffic is more recent...I was pretty much impressed by the boat ride we took, it was the first insight in the heart of Bangkok and of course showcased the way of how some of the people live in this huge city…. It is very weird to see the small houses and huge temples one near the other… Huge contrast….
Of course we had to go a bit to Chinatown to wonder around and it was quite impressing to see that one of the random restaurants in Chinatown was selling Romanian wine as one of their attraction and speciality…
The Royal Grand Palace is just amazing…. It is a very special place and besides the fantastic buildings it has a very special positive energy.
You can walk around and get recharged. You just forget the city and enter a world that probably you were just dreaming about when you were kid and reading stories about grand palaces far far away (az operencias tengeren es az uveghegyen is tul).
People sleeping in front of the Royal Grand Palace during the night...One of the contrasts of Bangkok:
And a bit of interaction with the birds in Bangkok…
Khao San Road is one of the main turistic places in Bangkok with reastaurants and shops and a lot of young people from everywhere. It is more like a Sziget Festival all year around then a normal street. It is always full of life and changing constantly. It has a very special feeling and you just feel free, young and happy there. Absolut chill out and party place :):):)
Bangkok can be quite random as well…. this is a gas station near Khao San road which in the night gets transformed into a bar….. I mean you have to use the place to the maximum. So in the evenings you have candle light near the pomp and people smoking while having a drink...
The nightlife in Bangkok…. Well…. If I ever get married, I will have my bachelor party there. It is a very good party place (though at a certain point I was molested by some gay guys), the girls are nice and beautiful and you can find the most extreme things there (No worries, I did not experienced them. Yet.). Thai girls are beautiful!!!

There is one place I really really enjoyed: is called Gold Mountain. Basically it is a Buddhist temple type of building on the top of a hill where from you can see the city from above. But that’s not the reason why I liked the place. But because of the feelings you get there.
It is again a place where your soul gets clean and you get a lot of positive energy. I could stay and sit there for hours and just feel that special energy and enjoy the sunshine and the sound of the hundreds of small bells. Very nice :):):) As you can see on the picture below, I was very inspired and envisioned:
